Stranger Things: Our Coverage, Start to Finish

With the finale out on December 31, 2025, Stranger Things is finished — which makes this a rare kind of hub: nothing here will be outdated by a next season. What remains is the sorting question. Nine years of show produced two very different audiences: people catching up who want to know what they’re committing to, and people who finished the finale with questions about what they just watched. Our four guides split evenly between them.

The season 5 review is the one we’d point a returning viewer at first, because it deals honestly with the thing most finale coverage danced around: critics and audiences did not agree on this ending, and the gap is wide enough to be the story. If you want the resolution mechanics instead — who actually closes which front, and what the last scene chooses to leave open — that’s the ending explainer’s job, and it assumes you’ve seen everything.

The series is over, but Netflix has expanded the franchise with spin-off projects outside the main story. As we cover them, their guides will appear here — the hub stays, even though the show is done.
